Minimess couplings are used for checking the pressure in a given line or a given pressure system. The minimess coupling is a small sized precision coupling having a check valve system that holds the entire pressure of the line or system without allowing any leaks or pressure drops.When the Minimess hose is press connected to the coupling, the needle within the minimess hose pushes open the valve of the minimess coupling thus allowing flow of the fluid, either oil or gas, into the hose where the pressure inside the machine is transferred to the Minimess hose. This minimess hose is again connected to a pressure gauge or pressure measuring system which shows the pressure that existed in the hydraulic machine, vessel or system.
Minimess couplings are test couplings suitable for use for pressure upto 700bars. These can be used in oil and gas lines. The Material of construction are Mild Steel and Stainless Steel of various grades. These are used in oil, water and gas systems and act as test points of the respective pressure system. The Minimess Couplings and hoses are also used for releasing the excess pressure in hydraulic systems and hydraulic lines.
